Production Description

Django in Pain is an uplifting Table Top puppet show on film.

We use a variety of techniques to tell our story. At the beginning it could seem that we are witnessing a live puppetry show and the camera is just there to record what is going on. Soon it becomes evident that we are taking advantage of many cinematographic resources to make the story more dynamic and alive. It’s not pure theater and it’s not just video. Django is a playful combination of both plus something else.

At the beginning actor explains on camera that he will try to make a happy play but he can’t. Then we see why. Puppets come alive and we see a simple yet beautiful story unfold in front of us. Table top puppets, shadow puppetry, miniatures and dioramas are just a few it the techniques we use to bring Django to life.
