Production Description

Filmed at Brixham Theatre in Devon, Summer 2024.

This is in fact the second time that we have put on A Midsummer Night’s Dream – the first time, we were halfway through rehearsals – and the COVID lock downs happened. We decided then, we would eventually resurrect the project and get it onto the stage!

The show design is our own re-imagining, combining a strict totalitarian style for Athens, with the natural colour and creativities of those out in the woodlands.

As we tour around the local area in car shares and on buses, our set and props are desugned to be minimal and easily transportable.

We are a theatre company based in South Devon – self funded through selling second hand bits on ebay because of how arts funding is – creating our own opportunities in Devon. www.southdevonplayers.com / www.facebook.com/sdevonplayers
