Production Description

Following the success of Think No Evil of Us: My Life With Kenneth Williams, I wanted to change tack completely and get away from ‘dead, camp comics’ and surprise my Edinburgh audiences with something bang up to date.

I booked the show into the 1998 Fringe under the title “Nothing But Pleasure” (borrowed from an obscure Buster Keaton short) before I knew what the show was going to be about.

I decided to tell the story of Diana’s death and the resulting furore since the subject was still taboo for humour and because it took me far away from Kenneth Williams.

The show was later invited to the Sydney Festival in 1999 where it played a week at the Opera House.

Please note, the video gets off to a shaky start, but improves.
