What starts out as her Jewish mom’s pesky fantasy (and mild-to-moderate obsession…ok MAJOR obsession) turns into a full – on MISSION as Melissa, single, struggling, and *cough* *cough* approaching 40, searches for love (and Jake Gyllenhaal).

A hilarious, heartwarming, and deeply personal story, MARRYING JAKE GYLLENHAAL breathes new life into #singlelife & sheds light on what it means to find true self-acceptance in an increasingly chaotic world.

The original solo musical play is from writer/actor/filmmaker Melissa Center (“This is Us,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), directed by Michelle Bossy (IAMA Theater Company’s “The Oxy Complex,” “The Broadway Babies Show”), composed by Jamie Buxton (“My First Start” directed by Victoria Clark) with orchestrations by Ernie Bird (“Rise”), & choreographed by Patrick McCollum (Broadway -“The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” & “The Band’s Visit”).
