New awards for theatre presented online have been launched with an announcement in The Stage.

The OnComms – Online Commendations for theatre presented online during the pandemic – have been created by OffWestEnd in partnership with Scenesaver, official website of the awards.

Filmed versions of shows presented before the pandemic are eligible, as are new performances created during lockdown. Scenesaver is particularly excited to see how creatives innovate online in these unprecedented circumstances.

Commendations will be awarded on a rolling basis and announced on the Offies webpage and on Twitter.
