We are very excited to be partnering with The Stage to live stream The Debut Awards on Scenesaver on Sunday September 27th at 7pm.

The awards are being presented virtually this year. Scenesaver is delighted to be one of The Debut Award’s patrons as we know how important it is for creatives to be encouraged and their talent recognised.

Theatre is not just about London’s West End. There are amazingly talented performers in the smaller venues all over the UK. When you look at the performances on Scenesaver you can see what wonderful, innovative and exciting work the theatre world is creating. Everyone has to start somewhere and these awards are about showcasing and recognising talent which is why we are featuring them on our site. We hope they will not only encourage and inspire the Scenesaver’s performers but also that we will see their names up there with next year’s award nominees.

We believe Debut Awards play an important role, in helping to both recognise and nurture new talent and celebrating the achievements of emerging actors and creatives. This year’s nominees come from all backgrounds with finalists shortlisted from pub, fringe and open-air theatre from around the UK as well as some of the largest productions in the West End.

The finalists includes newcomers from productions in Cardiff, Ipswich, Leeds, Leicester and Manchester, along with some household names including Wendell Pierce, Robbie Williams, David Mitchell, Aimee Lou Wood.

The awards start at 7pm on Sunday September 27th and we will livestream them. A recorded version will subsequently be available on the Scenesaver website.
