Scenesaver was delighted to be nominated in the COVID Crisis Champion category of the Global Good Awards. The site launched during the first lockdown in 2020, at a time when theatremakers and performers all over the world had to adapt to digital performances while theatres were closed.

More than a year and half on Covid is sadly still with us but theatres are slowly reopening and live performance returning to something like ‘normal’. However, many people are still wary about gathering with others or going too far from home.
The need for Scenesaver remains strong and the 450+ performances available on the site and thousands of users watching digital theatre with us confirm that it’s here to stay. The Scenesaver team continues to work tirelessly to find footage of new work to share on the platform and new audiences to watch it.
