The Broken Heart by John Ford
It’s from 1633/5 and is an absolute Gem of the Caroline era Theatre. Here I’ve revamped its setting to reflect post-war Britain and its got some lovely moments.
As ever with many of these plays, it’s about the perils of trying to control people – especially women – and especially women in love.
Directed this in 2005 at The White Bear and the cast are to die for.
