in the frame of Fabulamundi PLAYGROUND’s R&D workshop, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of London.

Centre of the stage, the creative team that from Monday 28 June to July 2nd worked on the text “Gentleman Anne” by the Italian author Magdalena Barile, interrogating the scripts and characters as they appear on the page, and discussing the wider issues of translation and adaptation from the Italian context into the British one.

Together with the author, the director Mingyu Lin, the translator Margherita Laera and the actresses Ericka Posadas and Denise Stephenson.

Fabulamundi PLAYGROUND is a format of Research and Development workshops profiled and organized by PAV to offer new generations of EU playwrights the opportunity to have their texts workshopped by professional directors and performers, exploring the opportunities and challenges of translation across languages and cultures.
