This year is the Finborough Theatre’s 40th anniversary. While the planned celebrations and live performances could not take place, Artistic Director Neil McPherson has been doing his utmost to keep the virtual lights on, making plays from the archive available to watch for free online.
London Pub Theatres have a fascinating interview with Neil on their website, reflecting on the birthday.
This includes mention of our partnership with the Finborough Theatre, to provide subtitled versions of the plays simultaneously during #FinboroughForFree. Heather Jeffery, Editor of London Pub Theatres Magazine writes:
Finborough is one of these theatres we all look to, for leadership. It has continued to keep its ‘doors open’ by making plays available to view online completely free of charge. They have also just made a deal with new video company Scenesaver to add an option of using subtitles to the videos, making them even more accessible.
